Seaory S28 Error 11: Card Jam and Sensor Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting

Updated September 14, 2026

When your Seaory S28 displays Error 11 (Card Jam), begin by checking for a trapped card. If the error continues, the video shows a separate sensor-cleaning check inside the printer. Follow the S28 sequence below, including the power-off step before internal cleaning.

Watch this tutorial on YouTube

First, check the cards

  1. Remove the cards and weight plate. Inspect the loading area shown in the video for a trapped card.
  2. Clear the trapped card if present. Remove it gently without forcing it. Reload the cards and replace the weight plate.
  3. Restart the printer. When the display shows READY, print one test card. If it prints normally, resume your work.

If Error 11 continues

  1. Power the printer off. Open the cover and remove the ribbon holder to reach the sensor area shown in the close-up.
  2. Gently clean the sensor area with a suitable swab. Use the video to identify the correct area.
  3. Reinstall the ribbon holder and close the cover. Turn the printer on, check for READY and test again.

For the next steps, see how to load S28 cards and the weight plate, how to print a test card and the Seaory cleaning guide. If the display says Error 51, follow the card-feed troubleshooting guide.
