Questions

Matica Printer Questions, Answered

What makes the Matica MC320X a good choice for my organization?+

The Matica MC320X is a dependable office printer from Matica, a European company that also builds the card systems banks use to issue credit cards. It prints one or both sides, works on Windows and Mac, and includes a lifetime Bodno software license.

Should I order the MC320X single-sided or dual-sided?+

Choose single-sided if your cards only need a photo, name and ID number. Choose dual-sided if you want a barcode, building rules or emergency contacts printed on the back in the same pass. If you're not sure, dual-sided covers both: it prints one-sided cards too.

How fast is the MC320X, and how many cards does it hold?+
  • Speed: about 20 seconds per full-color card, 6 seconds for black only.
  • Hoppers: 100-card input, 30-card output.
  • Cards: standard CR80, 20–40 mil thick.
  • Connection: USB and Ethernet, so it can be shared on your network.
What does the MC320X cost to run?+

Each MC320X color ribbon prints about 250 cards, which works out to roughly $0.48 per color card for the ribbon. Ribbons, blank cards and cleaning kits are on the MC320X supplies page.

How long is the manufacturer coverage on the Matica MC320X?+

The Matica MC320X comes with 3 years of manufacturer coverage. For five years of protection directly from Bodno, add TotalCare: parts, labor, and repairs, a loaner printer during repairs, and free shipping both ways.

How does the MC320X compare to the Magicard 400X?+

Both print one or both sides and include a lifetime Bodno license. The Magicard 400X adds HoloKote card security, 4 years of coverage and a 300-card ribbon at about $0.33 per color card. Compare them side by side.

Where do I get ribbons and cards for my Matica printer?+

Every model has its own supplies page with the ribbons, cards and cleaning kits that fit it. Pick your model under Matica Ribbons, Cards & Support above, or call (732) 987-5300 and we'll match it for you.

Can we pay with a purchase order, or tax-exempt?+

Yes. Email your purchase order to sales@bodno.com and we process the order for you; Net 30 is available for approved business accounts. Tax-exempt organizations email their form to Tax@Bodno.com once, and every order after that checks out tax-free.
