The HDP5000e uses retransfer technology—the most advanced card-printing technology available. Retransfer printers print images directly onto HDP film, then fuse the entire image directly onto the card surface, avoiding the misalignment that can occur with direct-to-card (DTC) printers which print images in multiple passes. Retransfer printing also lets you perform over-the-edge printing of the card and up until the contact chip on smart cards, getting you cards that reflect your professional image.

Cards produced by the HDP5000e are virtually forgery-resistant, since its high print quality is almost impossible to replicate.
