The badge problems every office runs into
And what changes the day your own ID printer arrives.
New hires wait days for a badge
When badges come from a print vendor, new employees spend their first week signing in at the front desk.
Print it on their first morning
Take the photo, pick the template, and the badge prints in about a minute.
Swan Hospice: new nurses and aides used to wait days for a vendor. Now every new hire gets a badge on day one.Badges that don't open the doors
A printed photo card does nothing at the badge reader.
Print on proximity cards
Order proximity cards programmed with your facility code and card numbers, then print the photo badge right on them.
26-bit and 37-bit cards, programmed to your system. See proximity cardsContractors look like staff
Without a clear badge, nobody can tell a vendor from an employee in the hallway.
A badge for every role
Print contractor and visitor badges in their own colors, with the date on them, when they sign in.
Bodno ID Card Software comes with ready-made templates to start from.A lost badge is a security hole
Waiting a week for a replacement means a shared badge or a propped door.
Reprint it while they wait
Their photo and details are saved, so a new badge prints in about a minute for about 38¢. Then turn off the old card in your access system.
Outside vendors charge $6 to $12 a badge. See the mathA Bodno customer
