Seaory S26 and S28 Error 51: Fix Cards Not Feeding

Updated October 9, 2026

Error 51 — Card Feed Error on a Seaory S26 or S28 calls for a check of the cards, their loading and the feed adjustment. Start with the card stack. The video demonstrates those checks before moving to the internal card-feed scale.

Check the cards and loading first

  1. Inspect the cards. Remove the stack and check for bent or deformed cards. Set damaged cards aside.
  2. Separate cards that are stuck together. New cards cling together with static. Fan the stack, let it sit a minute, then reload it and place the weight plate back on top, following the procedure for your model.
  3. Restart and test. When the display shows READY, print one test card before sending another batch.

Check where the driver is feeding from

The driver has a card feeding setting: the card hopper (the default), or a manual slot for one card at a time. If the driver is set to feed from the hopper while you are inserting cards by hand, or the other way round, the printer reports a feed error. Open Printing preferences, check the card feeding mode matches how you load cards, and print again. If the display shows Error 52 instead, it is the same check for the opposite feed direction.

If the feed error continues

The final part of the video shows removing the ribbon to access and adjust the card-feed scale. Set it to match the thickness of your cards. Switch the printer off before internal access. Use the demonstration to identify the adjustment; if you are unsure which setting suits your cards, contact Bodno support before changing it. Reinstall the ribbon, close the cover and restart before testing.

See how to load S26 and S28 cards with the weight plate and how to print a test card. If your display shows Error 11 (Card Jam), use the separate S26 guide or S28 guide.
