Common questions

How often should I clean the printer?

At every ribbon change. Run a cleaning card through the printer and fit a fresh cleaning roller. Static on PVC cards pulls in dust, and dust dragged under the printhead is the main cause of white lines and printhead failure. More: Why regular cleaning matters.

Why is there a white line on every card?

Print the printer’s own test card. If the line is there too, a printhead element is damaged, and cleaning will not bring it back. Clean at every ribbon change so the new printhead does not get damaged the same way. See White line on Magicard printers.
