Looking for the current model? The Rio Pro 360 is a legacy model — still available here while stock lasts, with ribbons and supplies stocked for existing owners. The current equivalent is the Magicard D ($2,595): about 23 seconds per full-color card and about 6 seconds in monochrome, four standard HoloKote designs plus one free custom HoloKote, a lifetime Bodno software license for Mac and Windows, and 3 years of coverage.
Magicard Rio Pro 360 Single-Sided Photo ID System
The Rio Pro 360 introduces an entirely new concept in ID printing. It is the first desktop printer to feature an embedded Linux-based CPU. This on-board computer makes the printer mobile-friendly, and gives it vastly improved print quality and print speed. And it’s backed by industry-leading coverage for complete peace of mind.
Ideal for: Mid-to-large size businesses, schools, colleges.
Why you’ll love it: Mobile-friendly. Super-fast. Outstanding coverage. Lifelike image quality. HoloKote? watermark adds visual security.
Typical Applications: Student IDs, employee IDs, access control, payment cards, membership cards, loyalty cards, event badges, guest cards.
Rio Pro 360 Single-Sided ID Printer
Print Card Directly From Your Mobile Device
Thanks to the embedded Linux-based CPU—the Rio Pro is mobile-friendly. Now, you can use your Mac device or Android to capture employee or student data or photographs—and then print cards instantly.
Expect Fast Print Speeds
The Rio Pro’s powerful print engine prints a full-color card with HoloKote in about 18 seconds per card. In monochrome, about 5 seconds per card.
Issue Striking Cards with Pride
Magicard printers are known for their vivid, accurate images; their printers use ICC profiles, so the color is almost as accurate a representation that you can get of the image you see on the screen. Now, Magicard Rio Pro 360 introduces even more vivid colors with the LYNK onboard CPU, which has a wider color spectrum to choose from. Display your brand’s professionalism with an almost lifelike representation of the image you are printing.
Enjoy Peace of Mind with Outstanding Coverage
The Rio Pro is backed by Magicard’s ultra-cover plus coverage, one of the best in the business. It lasts for a full three years, and you get a loaner printer in the event that your printer needs to be repaired during the entire coverage period. So you never have to worry about being stranded without a (working!) printer.
Sleep Easy, Knowing Your Cards Are Forgery-Proof
Holokote is a Magicard patented technology that prints a secure watermark on every card, without using any special laminate or ribbon. Plus, when paired with HoloPatch cards, one area of the watermark becomes a highly-visible gold security seal, so you can issue cards with outstanding visual security—at no extra cost.
The Rio Pro 360 comes with 10 standard designs to choose from. You also have the option of customizing your watermark with your company logo and having it digitally sent to you through the print driver. The Rio Pro can store up to 10 customized watermarks for you.
Get Expanded Connectivity
The Rio Pro 360 has USB and Ethernet connectivity so it can connect to an entire network of printers. It is also Wifi enabled with Wifi connectivity as a soon-to-be option. So you will soon be able to print anytime, from anywhere. The onboard CPU can easily connect to most third-party applications locally or online.
Optional Dual-Sided Printing
Upgrade the Rio Pro 360 Uno to the Rio Pro 360 Duo with the press of a button. Dual-sided ability is delivered to you online through the driver interface. No need to purchase extra kits.
Optional Custom Holokote
Customize your HoloKote watermark through the driver interface using the online Holokote tool. Up to ten custom designs can be added and stored in the RIo Pro 360.
Configure the Rio Pro According to Your Needs
The Rio Pro can be factory-upgraded to support magnetic stripe, smart chip and contactless encoding. Factory upgrades must be ordered at time of sale.
