Seaory S-Series Firmware Update (Windows & Mac) — S25/S26/S28

Comfort first: this is a one-minute task. You click Update, wait for Done, and you’re finished. If something feels unclear, the detailed steps below will walk you through it—calm, simple, no surprises.

Quick Answer (Both Platforms)

  • Windows: Download firmware → open FwUpdateTool.exe → click Update Firmware → when you see “Firmware Update Done”, close and confirm in Printer Preferences → Printer Information.

  • Mac: Unzip firmware → place FwUpdateTool.app inside the model’s firmware folder → connect printer → open the tool → click Upgrade Firmware → wait for Finished.

Don’t power off or disconnect the USB/Ethernet while updating.

Windows — Step-by-Step (S25 / S26 / S28)

  1. Download the correct firmware from your model’s Bodno support page.

  2. Run the tool: double-click FwUpdateTool.exe.

  3. Update: in Firmware Update Tool v1.44, click Update Firmware.

  4. Finish & verify: when the window shows “Firmware Update Done”, close it.

    • Open Devices & Printers → [Seaory S-Series] → Printing Preferences → Printer Information to confirm the new firmware version.

Tiny tips (Windows):

  • Use a direct USB connection (avoid hubs if possible).

  • Do not send print jobs during the update.

Mac — Step-by-Step (All Seaory Models; shown for S25/S26/S28)

  1. Unzip the downloaded firmware package.

  2. Inside the unzipped firmware, place FwUpdateTool.app into the same firmware folder for your model (e.g., the S28 firmware folder).

    • For other Seaory models on Mac, use the same approach: put the tool inside that model’s firmware folder and run it there.

  3. Power on the printer and connect to your Mac.

  4. Open FwUpdateTool.app (right-click → Open if macOS asks).

  5. Click Upgrade Firmware and let it run until it shows Finished.

  6. Do not power off during the upgrade.

Tiny tips (Mac):

  • If Gatekeeper warns you, right-click → Open to proceed.

  • Keep the USB/Ethernet link stable until the tool says Finished.
