HDP5000 replacement questions

Is the Fargo HDP5000 discontinued?
Yes. HID lists the HDP5000 as discontinued on hidglobal.com. Bodno still carries HDP5000 ribbons, film and cleaning kits, so you can keep printing while you switch.
Is the R660 a retransfer printer like the HDP5000?
Yes. Both print the image on a clear film first, then bond the film to the card. That gives edge-to-edge color and prints well on proximity and smart cards.
Does the R660 work on a Mac?
Yes. The Seaory R660 works with Windows and Mac. The HDP5000, like all Fargo printers, is Windows only.
My HDP5000 is broken. Does it still qualify?
Yes. Working, broken, jammed or missing parts all qualify. We email you a free prepaid shipping label, and your $600 trade-in rebate goes back to your original payment method within 7 business days after we receive it.
Does my old software license transfer?
You don't need it to. The R660 ships with Bodno ID Card Software and its own Lifetime License, good for the life of the printer. You can move it to a new computer. The activation code arrives by email within 15 minutes.
