The short answer: we no longer carry the Badgy100 or Badgy200. The closest complete replacement is the Bodno A10 ($995) — full-color printing with design software already in the box on a lifetime license and a similar per-card ribbon cost. • Lowest sticker price: the Seaory S25 at $899 for very occasional badge runs — Bodno design software included, currently with a lifetime license.
• Name-brand alternative: the Fargo DTC1250e at $1,599 single-sided, with Bodno Bronze software included on a 3-year license.
• If the Badgy was struggling to keep up: that is the signal to move to the daily-duty Bodno A20 — its 300-print ribbon cuts color cost to about $0.32 per card, less than half the Badgy's.
