The Printer: The Magicard 250X is a compact, easy-to-use single-sided printer built for organizations that produce small batches of high-quality cards on a regular basis. It uses a dye-sublimation process for vibrant, full-color images with sharp text and graphics, printing a full-color card in roughly 23 seconds (about 5 seconds in monochrome). A 50-card input hopper and 50-card output hopper keep small runs moving, and it connects over USB or Ethernet on both Windows and Mac. Plug-and-play setup means minimal IT overhead.
Built-In Security: The 250X includes HoloKote® secure watermarking, applying a holographic-style watermark to the card surface as it prints. It ships with 3 standard HoloKote® designs, giving every card a visible layer of protection that makes credentials difficult to duplicate. It also handles PVC, PET, and composite cards from 20–40 mil.

The complete package includes the Magicard 250X printer, Bodno ID Card Software, 300 blank PVC cards, a color ribbon that prints 100 cards, a photo ID camera. The printer-only option comes without software and supplies.
Does it work with my computer?
The Magicard 250X works with Windows and Mac computers. Bodno ID Card Software runs on Windows and Mac. Smart card and RFID encoding in the Platinum edition is Windows only.
How long is the software license?
The Magicard 250X comes with a lifetime license. It lasts for the life of the printer, has no fees, and you can move it to a new computer. Your activation code is emailed within 15 minutes of your order.
What happens if it stops working?
It is covered for 3 years. If it fails while covered, we send a replacement the next business day, or repair it, your choice. You can extend coverage to 5 years with Bodno TotalCare. Call (732) 987-5300 and we’ll take care of it.
How much does each card cost to print?
About $0.65 per full-color card with the included ribbon, which prints 100 cards. Blank cards cost extra, and printing color on both sides uses two prints per card.
Can I pay with a purchase order or buy tax-exempt?
Yes. Email your purchase order to sales@bodno.com and we’ll process it for you. How purchase orders work. Tax-exempt? Email your exemption form to tax@bodno.com once before your first order, and after that your account checks out tax-free. How tax-exempt works. Approved business accounts can also get Net 30 terms.
When will it arrive?
