Common questions

Vertical or horizontal badge holder?

Match how your card is printed. Portrait cards go in vertical holders and landscape cards go in horizontal holders. Both are clear vinyl with a resealable zip seal that keeps out dirt and moisture.

Badge clip, badge reel or lanyard?
  • Badge clip: clips the card to a shirt, pocket or belt.
  • Badge reel: retracts, so the card can be pulled out to tap a reader or show security.
  • Lanyard: worn around the neck, keeps the card at eye level.
  • Magnetic clip: holds the card with a magnet, safe on suits, silk and uniforms.
Do I need a breakaway lanyard?

Breakaway lanyards release when pulled, so they won’t choke or snag. They’re the safer choice around machinery, children and patients. Standard lanyards are fine for offices and events.

Do I need to punch my ID cards?

Badge clips, lanyard hooks and badge reels attach through a slot, so either punch the card with a slot punch or put it in a slotted badge holder. Magnetic clips need no slot and leave no holes in clothing.

How many come in a pack?
