Why retransfer?
Retransfer printing lays the image onto a clear film first, then bonds the film to the card. The result is true edge-to-edge printing with no white border, and it handles uneven card surfaces — proximity cards, smart cards and contactless cards — that direct-to-card printers struggle with.
Moving to the HDP5000e

What comes in the box?
The complete package includes the Fargo HDP5000 printer, Bodno ID Card Software, 300 blank PVC cards, a color ribbon that prints 500 cards, a retransfer film, a photo ID camera. The printer-only option comes without software and supplies.
Does it work with my computer?
The Fargo HDP5000 works with Windows computers only, so plan to print from a Windows PC. Smart card and RFID encoding in the Platinum edition is Windows only.
How long is the software license?
The Fargo HDP5000 comes with a 3-year license. One payment covers 3 years, with no automatic billing. Renew after year 3 to keep using it. Your activation code is emailed within 15 minutes of your order.
What happens if it stops working?
It is covered for 3 years. Call (732) 987-5300 and we’ll take care of it.
How much does each card cost to print?
About $0.42 per full-color card with the included ribbon, which prints 500 cards. Blank cards cost extra, and printing color on both sides uses two prints per card.
Can I pay with a purchase order or buy tax-exempt?
Yes. Email your purchase order to sales@bodno.com and we’ll process it for you. How purchase orders work. Tax-exempt? Email your exemption form to tax@bodno.com once before your first order, and after that your account checks out tax-free. How tax-exempt works. Approved business accounts can also get Net 30 terms.
When will it arrive?
