The HDP5000e uses retransfer technology—the most advanced card-printing technology available. Retransfer printers print images directly onto HDP film, then fuse the entire image directly onto the card surface, avoiding the misalignment that can occur with direct-to-card (DTC) printers which print images in multiple passes. Retransfer printing also lets you perform over-the-edge printing of the card and up until the contact chip on smart cards, getting you cards that reflect your professional image.

Cards produced by the HDP5000e are virtually forgery-resistant, since its high print quality is almost impossible to replicate. What’s more, the photo gets totally destroyed when someone attempts to peel it apart. These cards are also more durable than your standard ID card, since the HDP film adds a layer of protection.
