Bodno USB dongle licenses were designed with a 5-year lifespan. After five years, the dongle’s license automatically expires. If you’re seeing an error message such as “expired” or “suspended,” it’s because your USB dongle has reached that expiration point.
In response, we’ve updated our licensing approach to offer more flexibility and ease of use. Moving forward, all Bodno software will be licensed through activation codes instead of USB dongles.
What Are Activation Codes, and How Do They Work?
Activation codes are digital keys that allow you to access Bodno software without needing a physical dongle. This means no more plugging in a USB or worrying about hardware compatibility—just an easy-to-use code that works directly with your software.

- Monthly Subscription: The most flexible option, allowing you to pay as you go and cancel anytime. Your software remains active as long as your subscription is current.
- Yearly Subscription: For those who prefer a long-term plan, the yearly option provides uninterrupted access for a full year and renews annually.
- Onetime Activation Code: This one-time purchase grants you access to the software for 5 years regardless of when you purchased the printer.
