Visually Inspect The Printer and The Power Adapter 

When your ID card printer is not turning on, the first thing that you need to do is to visually inspect the printer and its power adapter for any signs of damage like a dented plug, cut power cord, frayed wiring, etc. If you find any signs of physical damage, you need to get in touch with a printer service technician in your locality to get the issue fixed. Never try to service the printer on your own. 

Make Sure That the Power Adaptor is Proper 

If you move your ID card printer from one place to another, chances are that you have accidentally switched the power adapter of the ID card printer with that of another appliance during packing or moving. To ensure that you are using the correct power adapter, you can refer to the manual of your printer. 

Check the Power Adapter 

If you find that your ID card printer is not turning on, you need to make sure that the power adapter of the printer is firmly connected to the power port of the printer. You can try the below steps:

• Unplug the power cord from the back side of the printer. 
• Unplug the power adapter of the printer from the electrical outlet.
• Plug in the power cord to the power port of the printer. 
• Plug in the adapter to the electrical outlet 
• Try turning on the printer.

You need to ensure that the wall outlet is working by plugging in a different appliance to the wall outlet. If you find that the wall outlet is not working, you can plug in the power adapter of the printer to a different outlet that is working. 

Use a Compatible Adapter From a Different ID Printer 

If you have another ID card printer of the same model, you can try using the power adapter of the second printer. If you find that the faulty printer is turning on with the alternate adapter, you can confirm that the original power adapter is damaged. In such a scenario, you will have to order a replacement power adapter.
